Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) is a hands-on neuromuscular therapy focused on identifying and correcting muscle inhibition, the root cause of muscle tightness and pain. By addressing these underlying issues, MAT aims to improve the body’s overall function and performance, offering a more effective solution than simply treating symptoms.
MAT Athlete
Many of today’s athletes are under-recovered, affecting their ability to engage in their sport at 100% and best tolerate the physical stresses imposed. The accumulation of practices, workouts, games, private skill instruction, injuries big and small, along with academic and social pressures, and often poor sleep and nutrition habits, can take a toll.
What we see is that this can create specific areas of neuromuscular weakness that create specific muscles and movements that are more vulnerable. They now have weak links in their “athletic armor” that can affect both performance and recovery.

Small group personal training is for groups of 4-6 clients. Workouts are personalized to your body, yet training in a small group helps us keep the cost down for you. The focus is still on biomechanics and creating a challenging, yet safe, workout for you.
